EVENT 3: COLOR, LIGHT, MOTION

Ted Victoria

By: James Hepp

I was able to watch my last event on color, light, and motion by Ted Victoria. I think this event was extremely relevant in our course this quarter, especially in the art category. Ted Victoria went through a slide show on all of all of the forms of art he has created with his low-tech tools. This to me is a great representation of art in our early stages of our society with the tools that went along with it.

I think Ted demonstrates how beautiful art is still able to be created even without high-tech tools. This is seen throughout our history and I think Ted does a great job of demonstrating that. Ted is able to make incredible transformations with every day objects.

This event remined me of when we learned about the Babylon and the clay tablets. It is an example of how a very limited number of tools still has the ability to create something magnificent. By using color, light, and motion, Ted is able to give life and a deepened beauty for what seems to be every day objects.
